Bridges Between Our Hearts

Bridges Between Our Hearts, the third book in the “Love That Does Not Die” trilogy, continues Larissa’s winding journey through the anguish of grief as she resolves to live life to its fullest. Challenges in the world around her and changing family configurations create emotional chasms she never imagined. Faced with choices between connection or further loss, opportunities to build bridges emerge – allowing Larissa to see clearly that love does not die. Quite the opposite.

Wonders in the Waves: A Novel Inspired by Love That Does Not Die

Resilience has brought Larissa Whitcomb a long way toward surviving recent losses of those closest to her. “I’m emotionally bankrupt,” she admits in the aftermath of her tragedies. Yet, gradually, she yearns for more. To move from surviving to thriving, she reframes her grief and seeks new directions.

Readers who cried along with Larissa in Comfort in the Wings, the author’s debut novel, are invited along for another journey of hopefulness after grief, and finding joy in everyday wonders.

“A tale of deep and enduring love, Wonders in the Waves touched my heart as it drew me into the most intimate of journeys. Collins masterfully paints a portrait of loss and life.  In a rhythm all their own, waves of grief crash, beautifully and intricately interwoven with waves of wonder and possibility.  Out of the depths, fresh hope and new life arise.  Readers will cheer Larissa on as she answers the incessant call to live, discovering abundant miracles even within the depths of unimaginable loss and pain.  This book is an invaluable gift for those who live with grief and those who love them.”

Comfort in the Wings: A Novel Inspired by Love That Will Not Die

Larissa Whitcomb flounders in the wake of unimaginable losses. Forget about coping; she can barely function. Life as she has known it evaporates, and she isolates herself from work and friends. Aware, however, of the dangers of her bleak existence, she reluctantly agrees to embark on a unique business opportunity, which becomes Larissa's journey of grieving.

“Honest and raw, Collins’ novel leads us straight into the heart, mind, and body of unimaginable loss from its very first page. Following the twists and turns of a life suspended by tragedy, where earlier logics no longer serve, we find how disorientation can reveal deeper truths, how pathways through the unthinkable can pave the way to wonder. A balm for the unmoored among us and a guide for those who love them.”

About founder Jennifer Collins

I’ve held a variety of professional positions in physical therapy practice and higher education. In those positions, my writing was academic in nature, primarily providing the results of my qualitative research projects.

As my career in those professional fields has become less of a presence in my life, I have turned my energies to my lifelong goal of writing outside academics. Comfort in the Wings, my first novel was released in October, 2021. One year later, Wonders in the Waves is now available!

With residences in both New York and Florida, I am happy to travel to be part of your book club discussions, or join in virtually.
